Inukshuk

Inspired by the ancient Inuit ritual of stacking stones to mark a location.  The word translates to "that which acts in the capacity of a human" or "in the likeness of a human".  These structures serve as vital directional guides, communication tools, and symbols of survival in the vast northern landscape.  This artwork is homage to the importance of such artifacts found throughout the Canadian landscape.
