Tabletop
Each tabletop sculpture begins as a flat 4' × 8' sheet steel — and through a precise sequence of shearing, shaping, and welding, it becomes something entirely its own. Layers of geometric forms stack and balance to express a single cohesive theme, one that's often reflected in the name of the piece itself. No casting, no shortcuts — just hand-crafted metalwork built to anchor any surface with quiet confidence. Made in Canada.
Centaurus Colony
Centaurus Colony
Life at the Edge of the Universe
The Centaurus Colony is a truly original handmade metal tabletop sculpture inspired by one of the most fascinating objects in the known universe. Centaurus A is the closest radio galaxy to Earth — just 13 million light years away — an elliptical giant with an enormous dust trail cutting through its centre. While we don’t know if life exists there, this piece dares to imagine it: what habitats might evolve, what forms the inhabitants might choose, what architecture might emerge in deep space.
Imagination Rendered in Steel
Completely handcrafted from 20-gauge sheet steel using specialized MIG welding techniques, every element of this sculpture is formed by hand — no two pieces are alike. The result is a showpiece of extraordinary character: part scientific homage, part speculative fiction, entirely art. It commands attention on a desk, shelf, or display surface, and invites every viewer to look a little longer and wonder a little more.
Crafted with Intention
- Original, one-of-a-kind handmade sculpture
- 20-gauge sheet steel construction
- Specialized MIG welding techniques throughout
- Inspired by the Centaurus A radio galaxy
- Handcrafted in Canada

Chunky Wafer Ladder
Chunky Wafer Ladder
The Poetry of Descent
The Chunky Wafer Ladder is a captivating geometric tabletop sculpture that tells a story in metal — chunky wafer fragments cascading down a staircase formation, coming to rest in a dense, solid metal block at the base. A piece that captures the tension between motion and stillness, speed and weight, in a single frozen moment.
Understated and Unforgettable
There is a quiet narrative quality to this piece that sets it apart. The cascading wafers suggest rapid movement — a tumble, a flow, a settling — while the solid base anchors everything with calm finality. It is charming without being whimsical, bold without demanding attention. The kind of piece that earns a second look from everyone who passes it.
Crafted with Intention
- Chunky wafer fragments in cascading staircase formation
- Dense solid metal block base for grounded contrast

A dynamic arrangement of cubes and wedges plays structured alignment against unexpected angles — a composition that feels simultaneously controlled and on the verge of motion.
Visual Tension as Art
This is a piece that keeps you looking. The cubes bring geometry and order; the wedges introduce disruption and flow, like waves lifting and tilting the forms above them. Eight Large Cubes
A Tower Built on Tension
The Eight Large Cubes is a commanding geometric tabletop sculpture featuring eight alternating cubes arranged vertically, each one decreasing in size from the base upward and subtly rotated from the last — a composition that builds upward with rhythm, tension, and quiet drama.
The Beauty of the Subtle Twist
It is the rotation that makes this piece. Each cube sits at a slightly different angle to the one below, creating a gentle spiral energy that draws the eye upward from the solid base to the smallest cube at the top. The Brushed Industrial finish highlights the natural character of the metal — honest, raw, and refined in equal measure. From every angle, a different composition reveals itself.
Crafted with Intention
- 8 alternating cubes in a tapering vertical arrangement
- Each cube subtly rotated for dynamic movement and tension
- Decreasing scale from base to apex for visual rhythm
- Brushed Industrial finish highlighting natural metal character
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada

Explosion
Explosion
A Moment of Impact, Frozen Forever
The Explosion is a compelling handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that captures something extraordinary — a single moment of explosive outward force, suspended permanently in metal. Angular steel forms radiate from a central core in multiple directions, creating a dynamic, almost organic burst of energy that feels simultaneously violent and serene.
Industrial Material, Sculptural Soul
This is a piece that defies easy categorisation. It reads as architectural from a distance and expressive up close — an exploration of tension, expansion, and material authenticity that rewards every viewing angle. The raw steel construction gives it an honest, industrial character, while the precision of the radiating forms reveals the hand of a skilled craftsperson at work. Equally at home in a contemporary loft, a refined modern interior, or on the desk of someone who thinks differently.
Crafted with Intention
- Angular steel forms radiating from a central core
- Captures explosive movement frozen in a single moment

Falling Sticks
Falling Sticks
Gravity, Gently Observed
The Falling Sticks is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture that captures one of the simplest and most universal moments in nature — things falling. A shower of slim metal sticks descends from above in a composition that feels effortless and inevitable, as though the piece has been caught in a single quiet breath between sky and ground.
Light Where Others Are Heavy
In a collection defined by geometric mass and structural tension, the Falling Sticks offers something different: lightness. The slim forms and open composition create a sense of air and space that makes this piece feel almost weightless despite being made of metal. It is thoughtful without being serious, minimal without being cold — a piece that brings calm to any surface it occupies.
Crafted with Intention
- Slim metal sticks in a gentle falling composition
- Light, open form with a strong sense of movement and air
- Poetic and minimal — a quiet counterpoint to bolder pieces
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home or office environments

Five Cubes
Five Cubes
Five Elements, One Composition
The Five Cubes is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture featuring a cluster of five solid steel cubes arranged in a dynamic, offset composition. Each element appears to shift and hover independently, yet the overall form holds together with a strong, grounded confidence — five separate intentions resolved into a single, coherent whole.
Simplicity as Sophistication
There is a quiet elegance to this piece that makes it one of the most versatile in the collection. It does not demand attention — it earns it. The offset arrangement creates subtle shadow and depth that changes as the light moves through the day, making the Five Cubes a piece that rewards living with as much as looking at. Simple enough for any space, considered enough for the most curated ones.
Crafted with Intention
- Five solid steel cubes in a dynamic offset cluster
- Each cube appears to shift and hover while maintaining structural grounding
- Subtle shadow and depth that shifts with the light

Five Raw Diamonds
Five Raw Diamonds
Five Forms, One Fluid Rhythm
The Five Raw Diamonds is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture featuring a vertical sequence of five diamond-shaped forms, each subtly angled from the last to create a flowing, rhythmic composition that rises with quiet confidence. Where Three Diamonds offers precision and restraint, the Five Raw Diamonds adds movement and organic energy — a longer, more expressive take on the same essential idea.
Raw Finish, Real Character
The Raw finish is central to what makes this piece distinctive. Unlike polished steel, the raw surface retains the natural marks of the making process — subtle variations in tone and texture that give each piece its own individual character. No two are identical. The finish softens the geometry of the diamond forms, adding warmth and depth to a composition that might otherwise read as purely architectural.
Crafted with Intention
- Five diamond-shaped steel forms in a vertical sequence
- Each form subtly angled to create flowing rhythm and movement
- Raw finish with natural tonal variation and organic texture
- Each piece unique — no two are identical
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada

Original and Handmade in Toronto
Every Cube Arts sculpture is an original design, fabricated entirely by hand in Toronto, Canada. No part of the artwork is machine-produced or outsourced. Completed pieces are securely packaged and shipped throughout Canada and the United States using established, top-tier couriers.
Natural Characteristics of Handmade Steel
Because each sculpture is individually formed, welded and finished by hand, slight variations in shape, dimensions and surface appearance are to be expected. These natural differences ensure that every artwork is unique.
Most pieces in the tabletop collection feature our Polished Industrial finish, which is created through several stages of grinding, buffing and polishing. Although weld lines are carefully smoothed and the surfaces are polished, directional buff marks, tonal variations, subtle patina and other natural imperfections may remain. These characteristics are intentional expressions of the fabrication process and contribute to the authentic industrial character of the steel.
Metropolis
Metropolis
The Golden Age of the Skyline, in Your Hands
The Metropolis is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture that pays tribute to the greatest era of urban architecture — the Art Deco period that gave the world the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and Rockefeller Center. This piece distills the essential language of those landmarks — the stepped setbacks, the soaring verticality, the sense that a building could be an act of civic ambition — into a compact urban landscape that sits on any desk or shelf with the authority of the skyline it references.
The Clock Tower That Modern Architecture Forgot
Crowning the composition is a clock tower — a detail that sets the Metropolis apart from its architectural inspirations and from almost everything built since. The clock tower is a statement of intent: that time matters, that craft matters, that the details others overlook are precisely the ones worth preserving. In an age of glass curtain walls and anonymous towers, the Metropolis is a quiet argument for the kind of architecture that believed buildings should mean something.
Crafted with Intention
- Art Deco cityscape inspired by the Empire State, Chrysler, and Rockefeller Center
- Stepped architectural forms projecting a compact urban landscape
- Crowned with a clock tower — a detail absent from most modern architecture
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- The most architecturally ambitious piece in the cubearts.ca collection
- Suitable for home, office, or institutional display
Some buildings reach for the sky. This one brings the sky to you.
Moving Day
Moving Day
A Sculpture That Never Has to Stay the Same
The Moving Day is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture unlike any other in the collection. Ten different geometric forms are suspended along a central threaded axis — and every single one of them rotates a full 360 degrees. The result is a sculpture with unlimited configurations: rearrange it on a Monday, find a new composition by Friday, and never run out of possibilities.
Controlled Imbalance, Infinite Variation
The genius of Moving Day is in the tension between its structure and its freedom. The central axis provides order and direction — drawing the eye from base to peak in a single, composed sweep. But the rotating forms introduce controlled imbalance, a sense that the composition is always mid-thought, always in the process of becoming something new. It is a sculpture that reflects the personality of whoever arranges it.
Crafted with Intention
- 10 different geometric forms suspended on a central threaded axis
- Each form rotates 360° for unlimited personal configurations
- Dynamic sense of movement and controlled imbalance
- Polished Industrial finish with grinding patterns, raw edges, and tonal variation
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or any space that deserves something truly personal
Ten forms. Three hundred and sixty degrees. Infinite ways to make it yours.
Nine Cube Matrix
Nine Cube Matrix
The Grid, Unleashed
The Nine Cube Matrix is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that takes the logic of the grid — ordered, rational, precise — and gives it energy. Nine cubes are connected by subtle linear elements in a clustered arrangement that radiates outward in a geometric burst, creating a composition that feels simultaneously structured and explosive. Order and expansion, held in perfect tension.
A Sculpture That Fills Space Differently
Where most sculptures in the collection rise vertically, the Nine Cube Matrix expands outward — its grid-like formation claiming horizontal space with quiet authority. The connecting linear elements give the piece an architectural quality, as though the cubes are nodes in a larger system, each one essential to the whole. From above, it reads as a diagram of something important. From the side, it is simply a beautiful object.
Crafted with Intention
- Nine cubes in a clustered grid-like formation
- Connected by subtle linear elements for cohesion and flow
- Radiates outward in a sculptural geometric burst
- Sense of expansion and movement from every angle
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or architectural display
Nine points. One system. Infinite implications.
Outpost
Outpost
Your Sculpture, Your Configuration
The Outpost is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture and a study in symmetrical balance — a rising tower of geometric shapes, each one free to rotate a full 360 degrees around the central axis. Reposition any element and the entire composition shifts, opening up a multitude of formations that make this piece as personal as the space it inhabits. Topped with a faceted pyramid that draws the eye upward, the Outpost always resolves into something worth looking at — no matter how you arrange it.
A Surface That Tells Its Own Story
The Polished Industrial finish does more than look good — it documents the making. Natural textures, soft grinding patterns, and tonal variations across each form reflect the handmade process with honesty and character. No two Outposts are identical, and the surface of each one carries the quiet evidence of the hands that made it.
Crafted with Intention
- Geometric shapes stacked in a configurable vertical tower
- Each shape rotates 360° around the central axis
- Multitude of formations — rearrange at will
- Topped with a faceted pyramid element
- Polished Industrial finish with natural textures and tonal variation
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or architectural display
One sculpture. Endless configurations. Always yours.
Pagoda
Pagoda
Ancient Form, Industrial Soul
The Pagoda is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that draws on one of architecture’s most enduring forms — the tiered, rising tower of East Asian temple design — and reinterprets it through a raw industrial lens. Geometric forms stack vertically along a central axis in a sequence that ascends with the same quiet authority as its architectural namesake: deliberate, composed, and impossible to ignore.
Raw Finish, Honest Character
The raw Industrial finish gives the Pagoda a rugged, unguarded quality that sets it apart from the polished pieces in the collection. There is no concealment here — the surface reveals the marks of the making process directly, giving each piece a texture and character that is entirely its own. Industrial in material, meditative in presence, the Pagoda occupies any space with a grounded calm that is rare in a tabletop object.
Crafted with Intention
- Geometric forms in a stacked vertical sequence along a central axis
- Inspired by the tiered rising form of East Asian pagoda architecture
- Raw Industrial finish with rugged, honest surface character
- Blends industrial material with minimalist design
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or architectural display
Centuries of architectural wisdom. One compact steel form.
Pixilated Cubes
Pixilated Cubes
The Digital Age, Cast in Steel
The Pixilated Cubes is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that translates the visual language of the pixel — the fundamental unit of the digital world — into a three-dimensional vertical form. Geometric blocks extend in alternating directions along a central axis, each one offset from the last to create a composition that reads as pixelated from every angle: a tower that looks as though it has been rendered in a low-resolution world and then made permanent in metal.
Shadow as a Design Element
The alternating extension of each block is not merely visual — it is structural. The offsets create a dynamic interplay of shadow and contrast that shifts as the light moves through the day, giving the Pixilated Cubes a depth and dimensionality that flat or smooth sculptures cannot achieve. From the front, it is a pixelated tower. From the side, it is a study in projection and recession. From above, it is something else entirely.
Crafted with Intention
- Geometric blocks extending in alternating directions along a central axis
- Balanced offsets create a pixelated vertical composition
- Strong shadow and contrast from every angle
- Dynamic interplay of light and depth throughout the day
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or tech-forward environments
Analogue craft. Digital soul.
Sir Adam Beck
Sir Adam Beck
A Canadian Legacy in Metal

Sir Adam Beck founded Ontario Hydro in the early 1900s — the largest public utility commission in North America — and was the driving force behind harnessing the power of Niagara Falls to bring affordable hydroelectric power to the public.
Power, Permanence, and Purpose
This piece reflects the scale and ambition of Beck’s achievements — the monumental generating facilities that still bear his name, the roar of Niagara channelled into something useful and enduring, the quiet pride of infrastructure built to last generations. In metal, those qualities find a natural home: honest, strong, and made to stand the test of time.
Crafted with Intention
- Original handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture
- A tribute to Sir Adam Beck and the founding of Ontario Hydro
- Inspired by the Niagara Falls hydroelectric generating facilities
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- A meaningful piece of Canadian history rendered in art

Space Debris
Space Debris
The Chaos Above Us
The Space Debris is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture that confronts a quietly unsettling truth: Earth’s low orbit is filled with the relics of decades of space exploration — defunct satellites, spent rocket stages, and fragments of missions past, all hurtling silently overhead. This piece captures that mayhem in metal, frozen at the moment of maximum disorder.
Order from Chaos
There is something strangely beautiful about the subject matter. What reads as chaos from a distance reveals, up close, the precision and craft of each individual element — a reminder that even debris has its own geometry. A companion piece to the Cosmic Carousel and Centaurus Colony, Space Debris completes a trio of works that look upward and ask what is really out there.
Crafted with Intention
- Inspired by the reality of low Earth orbit satellite debris
- Dynamic, multi-element composition capturing orbital mayhem

Stairway to Heaven
Stairway to Heaven
The Ascent, Captured in Steel
The Stairway to Heaven is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that distills one of the most universal human impulses — the desire to rise — into a precise geometric form. A cascading arrangement of cubes leans and climbs along a central axis, each one building on the last in a composition that feels simultaneously grounded and weightless.
Structure and Motion in Perfect Balance
This is a piece about tension — the tension between the solidity of steel and the implied lightness of upward movement, between the rigidity of geometric form and the fluidity of a staircase in motion. The cubes appear to lean into their ascent, as though caught mid-step, creating a dynamic energy that makes the sculpture feel alive despite its stillness.
Crafted with Intention
- Cascading geometric cubes leaning along a central axis
- Combines structural rigidity with a strong sense of upward motion
- Handcrafted steel construction, made in Canada
- Compact tabletop format with commanding vertical presence
- Suitable for home, office, or display shelf
A sculpture that reaches upward — and takes everything around it with it.
The Serpent - Cubist Geometric Metal Tabletop Sculpture - cubearts.ca
The Serpent - Cubist Geometric Metal Tabletop Sculpture - cubearts.ca
Nine Cubes, One Fluid Form
The Serpent is a striking work of cubist structural art featuring nine cubes of varying sizes that flow seamlessly upward in a dynamic, gravity-defying form. Where most geometric sculptures assert their rigidity, the Serpent does something rarer — it moves. The varying cube sizes create a natural rhythm that draws the eye upward in a single, unbroken sweep, like a coil caught mid-rise.
A New Composition from Every Angle
Walk around this piece and it reveals itself differently each time. From the front, it reads as a bold vertical statement; from the side, the staggered cubes create depth and shadow; from above, the varying scales become a study in proportion and balance. It is a sculpture that rewards curiosity — and repays every viewing angle with something new.
Crafted with Intention
- 9 cubes of varying sizes in a flowing upward composition
- Gravity-defying cubist form with natural visual rhythm
- Reveals a new balance of style and movement from every angle
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Brings sculptural sophistication to any space
- Suitable for home, office, or display shelf
A sculpture that refuses to stay still — even when it is.
Three Cubes
Three Cubes
Three Forms, One Perfect Balance
The Three Cubes is a compact geometric tabletop sculpture that proves restraint is its own kind of power. Three carefully angled cubes stack vertically, each one pivoting slightly from the last to create a composition of remarkable tension and poise — a balancing act frozen permanently in metal.
Gravity, Questioned
The genius of this piece is in what it implies. The cubes lean and angle as though caught in the act of settling, their equilibrium seemingly precarious yet utterly resolved. It is a sculpture that makes you look twice — first to admire it, then to quietly wonder how it stays standing. The answer, of course, is precision: the same precision that goes into every piece handcrafted at cubearts.ca.
Crafted with Intention
- Three geometric cubes in a vertical angled stack
- Each cube carefully angled to create tension and implied motion
- Gravity-defying composition in poised equilibrium
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Compact format — an ideal entry point into the cubearts.ca collection
- Suitable for home, office, or display shelf
Small in scale. Significant in presence.
Three Diamonds
Three Diamonds
The Power of Three
The Three Diamonds is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that celebrates the beauty of simplicity. Three diamond-shaped forms align along a central axis in a clean, striking vertical composition — a piece that achieves maximum impact through minimum means.
Surface as Statement
The Polished Industrial steel finish is central to what makes this piece sing. Natural textures and soft tonal variations across the surface give each diamond its own subtle character, catching light differently as the day moves and the viewing angle shifts. What appears uniform at first glance reveals itself, on closer inspection, to be quietly alive with variation and depth.
Crafted with Intention
- Three diamond-shaped forms aligned along a central axis
- Clean, minimal vertical composition
- Polished Industrial steel finish with natural textures and tonal variation
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Compact and versatile — suits minimalist and contemporary interiors

To The Moon
To The Moon
Countdown to Liftoff

A crowd-pleasing piece from the moment it lands on any shelf, desk, or display surface.
The Romance of the Rocket
There is something universally thrilling about a rocket. It represents the best of human ingenuity — the audacity to leave the planet, to point upward and go. This sculpture captures that spirit in metal: the three-stage form rising with purpose, each stage building on the last toward the infinite above. It is the kind of piece that makes children ask questions and adults remember why they looked up at the sky as kids.
Crafted with Intention
- Three-stage rocket form in full exploratory composition
- Universally appealing — a genuine crowd-pleaser
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- A perfect gift for space enthusiasts and design lovers alike
- Suitable for home, office, bookshelf, or display surface
To the moon — and wherever else curiosity takes you.
Transitioning Cubes
Transitioning Cubes
A Minimalist Skyline in Steel and Wood
The Transitioning Cubes is a quiet architectural statement — a linear procession of nine metal cubes aligned along a narrow wooden plank, forming a stepped metallic column that rises from foreground to back. Each cube is hand-worked, with visible grinder marks and softened edges that catch the light and give the surfaces a raw, industrial texture.
Growth, Ascent, and Contrast
The cubes gradually shift in size, creating a gentle rhythm of scale that suggests growth, ascent, or a minimalist skyline emerging from a simple wooden ground. The contrast between cool, reflective steel and warm, weathered wood emphasises the tension between manufactured geometry and organic support — turning a straightforward row of forms into something far more considered and alive.
Crafted with Intention
- 9 hand-worked metal cubes in a graduated linear procession
- Aligned along a narrow wooden plank base
- Visible grinder marks and softened edges for raw industrial texture
- Graduating cube sizes create rhythm, scale, and implied ascent
- Steel and wood contrast: cool geometry meets warm organic support
- Handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or architectural display
Steel and wood. Geometry and grain. A sculpture that finds beauty in the space between opposites.
Tulips
Tulips

The Tulips is a handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture featuring nine tulip-shaped cubes arranged as a bouquet — a piece that brings the warmth and symmetry of nature into the precise, enduring language of metal. Where flowers fade, this bouquet holds its form indefinitely.
Organic Character in Raw Steel
The Raw finish is what gives this piece its soul. Organic patina, subtle surface variations, and natural textures across each tulip form mean that no two pieces are identical — each one develops its own character through the making process. The result is a sculpture that feels simultaneously crafted and grown, geometric and alive.

- Mix of symmetry and elevation in the composition
- Raw finish with organic patina and subtle surface variations

The Vegas is a compact handcrafted metal tabletop sculpture that captures a single, perfect moment of motion — a cascade of solid steel blocks arcing gracefully across a simple rectangular base, each one tilted at a slightly different angle, like the shuffling of a deck of cards caught mid-deal.
Industrial and Sculptural in Equal Measure
There is an easy confidence to this piece. The rhythmic sweep of blocks from one side of the base to the other creates an architectural gesture that feels both deliberate and spontaneous — the kind of composition that looks inevitable once you see it, but could only have come from a skilled hand. Industrial in material, sculptural in spirit, and quietly cinematic in its reference.
Crafted with Intention
- Cascade of solid steel blocks arcing across a rectangular base
- Each block tilted at a unique angle for rhythmic visual sweep
- Compact, architectural composition — industrial yet sculptural
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or display shelf

Wafer Spiral
Wafer Spiral
Mathematics Made Beautiful
The Wafer Spiral is a geometric tabletop sculpture born from a simple but captivating idea: what happens when fifteen steel rectangular wafers are stacked one on top of another, each rotated exactly 10 degrees around a central axis, and crowned with a faceted peak? The answer is this — a naturally occurring spiral tower of remarkable elegance, where precision and beauty arrive at the same destination.
A Different Sculpture from Every Angle
The 10-degree rotation per layer means the Wafer Spiral is never the same piece twice. Walk around it and the composition shifts continuously — the overlapping wafers catching light differently, the spiral tightening and opening, the faceted peak drawing the eye upward from every vantage point. It is a geometric curiosity in the best possible sense: a piece that rewards sustained attention and repays every viewing angle with a new mood.
Crafted with Intention
- 15 steel rectangular wafers stacked with a 10° rotation per layer
- Natural spiral form emerging from precise geometric repetition
- Faceted peak crowning the composition
- Shifting mood and composition from every viewing angle
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Suitable for home, office, or institutional display
Fifteen layers. One hundred and fifty degrees of rotation. Infinite points of view.
Wafer Waterfall
Wafer Waterfall
Caught Mid-Fall
The Wafer Waterfall is an expressive handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture that captures motion and asymmetry in a single, dynamic vertical form. Geometric wafers are arranged in a twisting, falling composition — each one rotated to carry the eye downward in a fluid cascade, as though the solid metal has been caught mid-shift and frozen at the moment of maximum energy.
Fluid Form in Industrial Material
What makes this piece remarkable is the tension between its material and its movement. Steel is rigid, permanent, and uncompromising — yet the Wafer Waterfall appears to flow. The asymmetric arrangement of each wafer creates a sense of continuous motion that defies the weight of the metal, making it a striking focal point in any modern, industrial, or minimalist interior. A larger, more dramatic presence than the Chunky Wafer Waterfall — for spaces that can hold it.
Crafted with Intention
- Dynamic vertical arrangement of geometric steel wafers
- Each wafer rotated to create a fluid, twisting falling form
- Motion and asymmetry as the central design language
- Premium steel construction, handcrafted in Canada
- A striking focal point for modern, industrial, or minimalist interiors
- Suitable for home, office, or institutional display
Steel that flows. A waterfall that never stops.
Wedge Bouquet
Wedge Bouquet
Structure Meets Spontaneity
The Wedge Bouquet is a handcrafted steel tabletop sculpture comprising nine slender wedges arranged in a formal bouquet. Each wedge is offset from the last, creating a fluid, organic vertical flow that gives the composition a sense of natural growth — as though the steel itself has bloomed upward from a single point.
A Surface Worth Looking At
Welded by hand and finished in Polished Industrial steel, the surface of the Wedge Bouquet is anything but uniform. Rich tonal variations — subtle silvers, heat-treated hues, and natural textures — play across each wedge, catching light differently as the day shifts. The result is a piece that blends structure with spontaneity: precise in its geometry, alive in its finish.
Crafted with Intention
- Nine slender steel wedges in a formal bouquet arrangement
- Each wedge offset to create fluid, organic vertical flow
- Hand-welded construction with Polished Industrial finish
- Rich tonal variations — subtle silvers, heat-treated hues, natural textures
- Handcrafted in Canada
- A compelling focal point for modern, art, or architectural interiors
A bouquet that never wilts — and gets more interesting every time you look at it.
Whirling Dervish
Whirling Dervish
It Actually Moves
The Whirling Dervish is one of the kinetic pieces in the cubearts.ca collection — a sculpture where part of the form is designed to move. The torso spins freely on its axis above what reads as the legs and feet, bringing the figure to life with a touch. Named for the Sufi spiritual practice of meditative spinning, this piece carries both the energy and the serenity of its namesake.
A Sculpture That Invites Interaction
Most sculptures ask to be looked at. The Whirling Dervish asks to be touched. Set it spinning and watch the torso rotate with a quiet, satisfying momentum — a reminder that the best objects in a space are the ones that people reach for. This makes it an ideal piece for reception areas, living rooms, studios, and anywhere people gather and linger. It is, as its maker intended, fun and interesting in equal measure.
Crafted with Intention
- Kinetic sculpture — the torso spins freely on its central axis
- Figurative form with rotating upper body over a fixed base
- Named for the Sufi meditative spinning tradition
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- An instant conversation piece for any shared space
- Suitable for home, office, reception, or institutional display
Every great space needs one object that makes people stop, reach out, and smile. This is that object.
Windmolen
Windmolen
The Windmill, Reimagined
Windmolen is Dutch for windmill — and yes, this piece is exactly that, though not as you might expect. The Windmolen is a kinetic metal tabletop sculpture that takes the ancient, graceful form of the windmill and reinterprets it through a futuristic, industrial lens. Its panels move, just as a traditional windmill’s blades do, but the aesthetic is entirely its own: precise, architectural, and quietly commanding.
Grace in Motion
There is a pleasing symmetry to the Windmolen that sets it apart from the more asymmetric kinetic pieces in the collection. Where the Whirling Dervish spins with spontaneous energy, the Windmolen moves with measured grace — a composed, elegant rotation that feels as natural as wind itself. Set it in motion and the industrial form softens, the panels sweeping through space with a rhythm that is genuinely calming to watch.
Crafted with Intention
- Kinetic sculpture — panels move in the tradition of a windmill
- Futuristic, industrial reinterpretation of a classic form
- Striking symmetry and architectural grace
- Premium metal construction, handcrafted in Canada
- Equally suited to residential and commercial environments
- A beautiful, calming presence wherever people gather
Ancient inspiration. Industrial execution. Always in motion.
Wall Art
These sculptures are fabricated as stand alone sculptures with the boundaries and composition of it eventually residing in a shadow box frame. What makes them unique is the 3D nature of the art in what is typically a 2D medium. All of the art comes in its own wood frame shadow box ready for hanging.

About cubearts.ca
Gary Wener, Creative Lead
The Story
In 2023, after a fulfilling career in commercial real estate, I created cubearts.ca. At that time, I headed back to school to pursue a fascination and curiosity in metalwork. First George Brown College to learn the basics of welding and hone my skills in MIG, TIG and Stick welding. After that, I enrolled in a professional program at the Institute of Technical Trades to pursue certification in welding and further enhance my skills.
Inspred by architecture, urban form and geometry, I have currently created over 50 pieces of original tabletop and wall art pieces reflecting the structure, geometry, and rhythm of the built environment. Baked into all of this, is a real intention of making my pieces fun, cheeky and be able to surprise.
I certainly get a kick out of creating this stuff. I start off with digging into my mental archive of neat architecture, geometric patterns and in general the world around. Sometimes a piece may start off with a specific scheme and then end up as a totally different finished product.
Since the medium is sheet steel, attention to form, materials, interplay, contrast, patterns and structure is a significant part of the design process.
Through sketching, design development, and hands-on fabrication in the studio, the resulting works blend sculptural form with architectural influence, creating pieces that feel "refined industrial" with an empahsis on visual surpise. Some of the pieces move, adding to the surprise of exploring this art.
The sculptures are intended to bring a sense of strength, precision, and visual calm to contemporary interiors — whether displayed as a focal point on a tabletop or integrated into a larger wall composition.
Finish and Care
Finishes
Threre are two types of surface finish available.
Raw Industrial: Each element of the sculpture is presented in its natural, unrefined state, preserving the raw character of the material. Surfaces remain intentionally untouched—free from polishing or heavy finishing—allowing the inherent textures, markings, and tonal variations of the steel to remain visible.
The result is a gritty, honest aesthetic that celebrates the making process. Each piece receives only a light buff and a protective rust-inhibiting coat, ensuring durability while maintaining its authentic industrial character.
Polished Industrial: Each element is carefully refined to achieve a smooth, brushed surface that enhances the natural beauty of the steel. Through controlled polishing and buffing, the material develops a more uniform texture while still retaining subtle character and depth. Slight imperfections either from polishing or from the original weld may be seen. These are natural and make up the character of the piece.
The result is a clean, contemporary aesthetic—refined yet grounded in its industrial origins. A protective finish is applied to preserve the surface and ensure long-lasting durability.

Care
To ennsure longevity and integrity of each piece, a protective layer of rust inhibitor is applied at the conclusion of the creation of each piece. The treatment allows for the natural and polished finishes to shine throught while at the same time protecting the metal from rust.
